What is Secret Santa?

Secret Santa is a gift exchange where each participant draws the name of a person from the group, to whom they give a gift without revealing they are the giver. Instead of buying a present for everyone, you only buy one, chosen carefully, within a shared budget. It's the ideal solution for large families, groups of friends and work teams.

Organise a Secret Santa in 4 steps

  1. Add the participants with their first name and, if you wish, their email.
  2. Set the exclusions: members of a couple or parents and children won't be drawn against each other.
  3. Set the budget and date of the exchange, so everyone can plan ahead.
  4. Start the draw: each participant receives their personal link by email, or you share it via WhatsApp or SMS.

What budget should you plan?

The hardest part is finding the right gift for someone you sometimes barely know. Each participant can link their Christmas list to their draw link: the person who drew them discovers their wishes and reserves the gift, with no risk of duplicates.

Frequently asked questions

How does the draw work?

Add the participants, specify anyone who shouldn’t draw each other (a couple, for example), then run the draw. Each participant receives a personal link that reveals only the person they are giving a gift to.

Can the organiser see the results?

No. No one sees all the results: the organiser only knows who has already discovered their match, which keeps the surprise for everyone, including themselves.

Do you need an email address or an account?

No. Without email, you share each person's personal link yourself via WhatsApp, SMS or messaging. With an email, the link is sent automatically. No account is needed to organise a draw.

How many participants are needed?

At least 3. There is no minimum budget: simply set a suggested amount so everyone gives a gift of similar value.

Can you see the Christmas list of the person you drew?

Yes: each participant can link their Ma Liste de Noël wish list to their link. The person who drew them sees it directly and gets it right.

Secret Santa, Père Noël secret, Kris Kringle: what's the difference?

None: these are different names for the same game. Each person draws someone to give a gift to, without revealing who they drew before the exchange.

What if a mistake was made?

As long as no one has discovered their match, the organiser can redo the draw in one click, with the same links.
